Design & Consultancy:
As with any engineering project half the success is in the initial investigation and planning. From a basic site boundary pick-up to highly detailed 3D terrain modelling using our new GPS enabled Leica TCRP1205 robotic Total Station; we can fulfil your topographic survey requirements. GPS Surveying allows us to provide you with fast and accurate location-based information. The data can be processed either in real-time, or after the survey is completed, dependent on your requirements.
Brian construction company topographical surveys are surveyed in 3D. Therefore in addition to providing contoured plans, we are able to provide 3D digital terrain modelling using specialized software from McCarthy Taylor. LSS is a complete land survey, terrain modelling, volumetrics, design and visualisation package capable of importing a wide range of 3D data, including raw land survey information from EDM or GPS instruments, CAD systems and user-definable coordinate formatted data. LSS immediately produces a triangulated terrain model, which can then be queried, viewed, manipulated and designed through.
Before we break the soil we consult fully with our customers offering a highly professional service that can create, design and specify the work needed. We work with you directly or liaise with your engineers to ensure an outcome that is delivered on time and to budget. Once the 3D design has been finalised and agreed with the client, it is exported to create a machine file. We have recently invested in the Trimble GCS900 Grade Control System 3D Automatic Control following successful trials at Bicester Sports Village. One of the most revolutionary changes in the way earthworks are performed has been the introduction of 3D systems originally by Trimble in 2003. The Trimble® GCS900 Grade Control System represents the next-generation 3D system from the company that invented 3D grade control.

SHEQ ADVISOR
Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Advisor required for our company which operates throughout central & southern England. The H&S / Health and Safety Advisor will be reporting to the directors, carrying out a range of tasks including (but not limited to); Carrying out regular site inspections, compiling site reports and maintaining paperwork regarding all health and safety matters. Providing advice to all managerial, office and site personnel including subcontractors employed under the company. Attending client meetings with other team members when required.
Assist in the production of RAMS applicable to the scope of works being carried. Assist in the production/review of CoSHH assessments when required and updating Policies, Procedures and Forms to meet Company and regulatory requirements in line with ISO standards.

About us
Brian Construction Company was formed in 2001, undertaking most aspects of agricultural contracting work. It was during this stage of the Company's development and expansion that the importance of land drainage was realised. From 2005, we have specialised in all aspects of land drainage and since 2016 we have become well established within the sports turf industry, concentrating on the design, construction, drainage and maintenance of all sports and amenity areas.
We have developed and operate a very comprehensive fleet of modern, specialist machines to undertake the wide range of services we can offer. All plant is operated by our own experienced and conscientious workforce.
Since 2002, our blend of experience and expertise has enabled us to expand further to undertake large scale landscaping, lake and pond construction, bulk earthmoving, water supply and associated civil engineering projects.
We are members of SAPCA, LDCA, BALI, and STRI ensuring a high standard of workmanship is maintained. Supervision of the workforce and direct contact with the client is personally undertaken by the CEO.

This latest investment serves not only to enhance our comprehensive fleet of specialist equipment, but in addition, the skills of our highly competent machine operators and for continuity and quality assurance from start to finish every project is overseen by a senior staff member.
We have also added to our technical design capability by investing in the WinDes suite from Micro Drainage Ltd who supply industry standard sustainable drainage and flood hazard software. Virtually every project undertaken these days has to account for a complete integrated drainage system that complies with the required legislation.
This has led to an increase in the requirement for sports pitch related SUDS and attenuation installations which we now have the capability to model and test, prior to construction. To complement this we are undertaking our own drainage study to assess drainage performance in natural grass pitches.
We can also offer site investigations employing percussive drilling, rotary drilling, excavators, dynamic probing or sampling, together with hand dug trial pits as required. Comprehensive reports are produced with recommendations for soil improvement and conditioning.
In addition, should a client require competitive pricing from a number of contractors, we are also able to offer a package to provide plans, specification and bill of quantities thus ensuring that quotations are on a like for like basis and simplify the selection process for the client.

Originating in the 2002's from a background in agricultural land drainage, Brian construction company has taken these specialist skills forward into sports turf, amenity, environmental and conservation projects. We have entered the 21st century as a leading nationwide expert in sports pitch construction, sportsturf land drainage, renovation and maintenance, environmental and conservation projects and agricultural land drainage.
Our approachable, cost conscious and timely service is achieved by a combination of a highly skilled and experienced workforce and the most advanced machinery and modern techniques used within the Industry.
Sports pitch drainage
Drainage is of paramount importance and all our Mastenbroek trenching machines are purpose built for all sports and amenity areas. They are lightweight, running on tracks to considerably reduce surface damage.
Laser grading is fitted to ensure accuracy or pipe laying. Elevators convey all excavated soil into a trailer, eliminating surface contamination. A maximum of 1.4 meters is obtainable, with a variable trench width ranging from 80mm to 250mm.
Once installed, trenches are back filled with 6-10mm aggregate and topped up to the surface with a selected sand or a sand/soil mix. The result is a clear playing area which can be used immediately.
Drain spacing can be varied to accommodate different soil types and the requirements of any particular sporting activity.
As leading land drainage contractors and specialists in sports pitch drainage, we are members of the Land Drainage Contractors Association (LDCA), and have substantial experience and expertise in the requirements of producing a variety of sustainable drainage systems.
